In partnership with groups like CareerEncode, Bazaarvoice helps students from Northern Ireland learn more about Higher Level Apprenticeships in computing so they can forge a career in the technology sector.
This is a great way for Bazaarvoice to give back to the local community, support the next generation of innovators, and respond to Northern Ireland's skills shortage in the technology sector.
Supporting apprentices in the technology industry
Bazaarvoice has provided support in a range of ways, including making available its office premises for groups like CareerEncode to host activity where they can explain the apprenticeship application processes and provide much-needed interview tips to prospective applicants. With CareerEncode, apprentices can earn while they learn with the support of a professional and experienced mentor.
Studying for their Foundation degree while being paid a salary means students aren't necessarily burdened with debt, enabling them to gain valuable skills and accelerate their career.
This support from Bazaarvoice also helps drive greater equality and diversity within the technology sector.
For example, Bronagh Gallagher (pictured below), a former CareerEncode apprentice, now promotes STEM careers to young women and girls to boost female representation in the industry.
