Lead DevOps Engineer

As a Lead Devops Engineer you will network across Thales UK and our Global group to develop our tooling and techniques bringing more innovation, automation, agility and quality across the design cycle. In this role you will collaborate with of Software Developers, IT teams and Quality to manage and advise on the best application of the various configuration and test tools such as JIRA, Jenkins, GIT and Clearcase.

Key responsibilities
Identify new tools in order to improve existing processes and lead team members in the installation, configuration and maintenance of tools
Develop a local and international network to identify global best practice that can be implemented locally
Work with Software Developers to reduce bugs, shorten development times and automate processes to allow Developers to spend more time on developing codes
Take great code written in various languages including C,C++, Python and Java and transform this into an efficient and robust executional code.

Skills qualifications and experience
Passion for innovation and continuous improvement
Knowledge of development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum combined with configuration control and automated test tools such as Jenkins and Git.
A natural collaborator who can identify and share best practice
Broad exposure to various coding languages
