Project Planner

Due to growth our collaborative and forward thinking Project Management Office (PMO) have an opportunity for a talented Project Planner or Scheduler to join the team in Cheadle. The role will operate within the Maritime Mission System’s business line, providing a world class planning service to project teams. You will be accountable for delivering project planning, Earned Value, cost analysis, risk management and reporting services and work collaboratively with project teams to ensure success. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a range of diverse projects playing a key role at all stages of the lifecycle from prospects and bids through to project execution and closure.

Key duties and responsibilities:
Maintain, develop & communicate project plans.
Monitor project schedules, costs and resources in support of the project managers.
Conduct updates of project schedules, resource allocations, budgets and financial status.
Identify budget, resource and schedule variances and make recommendations for corrective action.
Provide earned value management and performance analysis (EVM)
Undertake budget and schedule baseline and change control activities.
Continuously improve process and performance.
Ensure risk is managed and mitigated througout the project.
Key skills, experience and qualifications needed:
Excellent project planning skills with proficiency in a project-planning tool such as Primavera or MS Project.
Strong team player able to achieve results through collaboration.
Strong data analysis and reporting skills..
Proficient in Earned Value Management (EVM).
Problem solving skills
Knowledge of or experience in risk management.
