TM1 Solutions Architect

As the TM1 Solutions Architect based in Crawley, you’ll be working within a centralised UK Systems Accounting function responsible for a wide variety of projects from finance process re-engineering through to Finance ERP and BI implementations. Technical Lead for supporting the drive to optimise the process for collecting costs in the UK, and for strengthening our analytical approach in financial cost recording which enables costs to be collected and reported to the Group and UK in a consistent manner which complies with Group policy. This position is a key role within the business improvement function, offering challenges and variety, for a department that has empowerment to make strategic models.

Key responsibilities

UK Wide support on the TM1 Financial reporting solution focusing on the Overhead & CBN Reporting process
Ensuring data accuracy and integrity of UK Overhead Actuals & Budgets for the key elements
DLU – Hours Productivity Analysis
Acting as the UK TM1 SME (Subject Matter Expert) provide technical assistance to the TM1 Development Team
TM1 Technical Process Reviews - Identify and deliver TM1 process improvements focusing on standardisation and automation of key reporting processes ensuring quality of service to internal customers is still maintained.
TM1 Security Infrastructure – In conjunction with UK Businesses identify, document and validate new Security requirements
Provide Data Extraction capability for KPI Compliance and Service Performance measurements
UK Finance Improvements – TM1
Architecting of Cognos TM1 for use as a Performance Management solution, including comprehensive Planning, Budgeting and Reporting capabilities.
Define and document technical solution requirements
Develop Solution design including a TM1 prototype that demonstrates a subset of the overall design
Build, configure and deploy the solution
Provide quality assurance oversight and management of other consultants/developers on the project configuring and deploying the required design
Managing project technical issues and scope to ensure successful delivery
UK TM1 Finance IS Infrastructure administration
Working closely with UK TM1 Controller deliver technical infrastructure requirements based on TM1 solution designs
Ensure TM1 IS Infrastructure delivers:
Correct server sizing and configuration
Infrastructure stability
Solution availability
Performance optimization
Financial Application Implementation support
Working with the TM1/BI team to support the implementation of a Visual Analytics application to be used in conjunction with TM1 data
TM1 Application upgrade
Evaluating and testing
Non-TM1 source interface testing
Planning, Training and Delivery
Skills, qualifications and experience

Experience in a finance systems role within the finance/ IS function preferably in a large complex project based organisation
Experience of solution analysis, design, build, documentation and implementation, including data analysis, functional specification, technical solution design and UAT scenarios
Proven history of implementing Business Intelligence reporting tools
End-to-end Cognos TM1 implementations and administering a multi-tiered TM1 environment
Data warehousing concepts and OLAP
Hands on with design and development of TM1 Planning, Forecasting & Budgeting
Demonstrable experience of IBM TM1 rules, TI’s and processes, user interfaces (Contributor, Perspective, TM1 Web), architect, implementation of best practice system architecture and design.
Excellent planning and organising skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines
Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills, including the analysis and interpretation of data with the capacity to devise and implement solutions.
Able to assess the impact of new requirements on existing models, people and processes.
