Head of Community and Esport (Europe), Amazon Game Studios

London, United Kingdom

Amazon is all in on games. We believe the evolution that began with arcade communities, growing to the live streams and esports of today, will continue to a future where games are a global cultural touchstone that cuts across age, gender and nationality. We are seeking the industry’s best to help us create, publish and support our ambitious PC games. Join us, and you’ll have the power of Twitch, Amazon Web Services, and our digital and physical media publishing infrastructure available as raw material to forge a future filled with amazing experiences for players, broadcasters and creators.

Amazon Game Studios is looking for a Head of Community and Esports that will be part of the core leadership team founding a new European office. In this role you will develop, hire for and execute a community building and esports strategy for Europe. You and your team will develop and manage AGS’ social media content programs in Europe. You will create fan engagement opportunities at in-person and online events. You will use social data to help inform decisions about how we talk to our players in Europe, what content is relevant to them and when to provide it. You will be an advocate for our European players, bringing their issues forward to be discussed and resolved. You will be building AGS brand trust with the player community in Europe.

The ideal candidate will be a veteran in the industry, thrive in the relationship between people that play games and the people that make them, and be well versed in the entire esports ecosystem. You believe in authentic two-way conversations with the player community, and are as ready to advocate for the player perspective as you are to be an evangelist for the game team.
