VANS is seeking a seasoned, talented Senior VX Designer to play a key role in the future of shopping at Amazon. In this role, you will help drive Amazon’s end-to-end shopping experience across voice and voice-enabled platforms. The products you would envision and craft require ambitious thinking and a tireless focus on solving customer problems. You will be responsible for designing best-in-class, voice powered shopping experiences in a fast-paced, agile environment and seeing them through to launch—then using data to iterate and improve. You will work closely with engineering, product management and marketing to successfully drive the design of key features both internally, and across partner teams.

As the right candidate, you are a proficient designer that can translate needs and constraints into simple, intuitive, customer-focused solutions. You must be passionate about creating innovative experiences (across existing and emerging form factors) that can scale to hundreds of millions of customers, and be insanely curious about new technology and unlocking its potential. You are at ease visualizing an experience in the abstract and then driving that vision into solid design deliverables such as user interface designs for voice and screen, interaction models, design specs and prototypes. With the ability to work with little direction, you are a proven story teller and collaborator who flourishes in a start-up like environment. Responsibilities
· Drive the UV design of key, differentiated features for Amazon shopping across voice and voice-enabled platforms.
· Use diverse inputs — from product leadership to market analysis, customer feedback, metrics and usability findings — to identify and define exciting new concepts, opportunities, and solutions to customer problems.
· Mange design from initial concept through final implementation, working with our core team as well as partner teams across Amazon.
· Develop and maintain detailed design specs for both voice and screen-based UI
· Clearly and persuasively communicate, specify, and describe design concepts, solutions, and needs to senior executives.
· Lead customer advocacy and integrate user research into the product development process.
· Contribute to the group’s best practices for UV design while continually advocating design thinking, process, and craft throughout our organization.
· Partner with development teams to build experiences and review finished interfaces (voice and screen) throughout the development lifecycle, maintaining a high bar for design and execution.
· Use humor, creativity, and positive energy to maintain personal and team momentum.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· At least 8 years of professional experience as an interactive designer/user experience designer
· An online portfolio demonstrating strong visual design skills and UV experience across a range of media including online, handset, and tablet.
· Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver projects of significant scope with high impact to the overall user experience
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to communicate complex design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences.
· Experience working with development and product management teams, driving multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficiency with the standard tools of the design trade, e.g. Sketch, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.
· Fluency in best practices for information architecture and interaction design, user-centered design process, as well as strong knowledge of user research principles and techniques.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Proven ability to develop and evangelize product vision across product teams.
· Proven ability to drive complex design solutions across large organizations and disciplines.
· Experience in designing for multimodal, NUI products and/or environments.
· Visual and/or interaction design expertise demonstrated through high fidelity comps, storyboards, design specifications
· Ability to create rapid prototypes to communicate the vision/customer experience.
· Early stage product/start-up experience
