Sr. Marketing Customer Intelligence Engineer - Amazon Subscribe and Save

The programme’s zero-click recurring deliveries offer subscribers convenience, and we pass through discounts to subscribers that are supported by vendor funding for brand/product loyalty and by cost savings from shipment consolidation and advance delivery planning. Our SnS global aim is to offer “any replenishable item, at any frequency, anywhere in the world.

We have ambitious plans to scale our engagement of this programme and are looking for exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people to join our team.

The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will be a member of the Amazon SnS team in London. This position is responsible for turning data into actionable and insightful information, by developing and executing standardized reporting and analysis that will provide clear insights on customer behavior and marketing activities impact. She/he will share insights and recommendations and act as a thought partner of the leadership team to develop customer acquisition and retention initiatives, building a loyal customer base, and creating marketing strategies for current and future products.
We are looking for experienced and results oriented candidates who have a proven track record of solving complex and broad business problems applying appropriate analytical best practices.

Key Responsibilities
· Lead Business Intelligence team for Amazon SnS initiatives in the EU.
· Own demand generation analytics and reporting which includes proposing, driving creation of and managing metrics and analyses that monitor and improve marketing effectiveness.
· Develop and execute standardized reporting and analysis to improve customer behavior knowledge. Retrieve and analyze complex and large data sets to provide insights on customer life cycle and customer engagement. Analyze historical data to identify significant trends and drivers.
· Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analysis.
· Support critical decision-making processes of the International Amazon SnS team.
· Perform comprehensive analysis to support ad-hoc reporting requests.
· Develop and maintain predictive models for customer attrition and upsell.
· Develop A/B test scenarios and monitor results of customer engagement initiatives. Propose recommendations based on the analysis of those results.
· Provide support for new functionalities and product launches. Assist in the definition and delivery of a marketing strategy for these new releases.
· Work closely with the Consumables Programmes BI team in Seattle.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Marketing or Finance, MBA preferred.
· Several years of experience as a BI Engineer, Business/Financial Analyst or Systems Analyst preferably in an internet-based or a retail company with large, complex data sources.
· Proven analytical and quantitative skills, ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and concepts.
· Advanced SQL writing skills and solid experience with Excel and working with databases.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Expert understanding of best practices to handle extremely large volume of data
- Ability to create extensible and scalable data schema that lay the foundation for downstream analysis
- Experience in designing and implementing custom reporting systems for business teams
- A clear passion for learning new BI skills and techniques independently and continuously
· Excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to influence others internally and external
Ideally experience working in a subscriptions business building models to drive acquisition and engagement or to identify customers at risk of churn
· Strong ownership and bias for action; ability to internalize goals and work independently to create appropriate action plans for those goals
· Strong problem-solving skills; ability to analyze issues and create appropriate tactical plans
