About the Business Line Program, Cost, Consultancy
We provide cost and project management services, and specialist consultancy services, to public- and private-sector clients around the world, with a strong presence in Africa, Australia and New Zealand, Europe, the Middle East and the United States.

Job Summary
Our Birningham Project Management business unit continues to grow and have recently secured a public sector 4 years framework. As a direct result of this, they are currently seeking full time Project Managers to bolster the team, Public Sector experience necessary.

Job Responsibilities:
The Project Manager will be expected to work with an Associate or Project Director to successfully manage and deliver capital investment projects.

The role would cover the whole project lifecycle from initial inception and business case development, through the design and procurement process and onto the site delivery and commissioning phase.

As PM you should possess the skills and experience to lead and manage a team on a technically complex project between typically €5m and €20m, and for developing collaborative relationships with our clients and other team members.

Day to day main client point of contact for projects.

Manage design teams and project teams.

Manage and mentor junior project managers to deliver the PM service efficiently and effectively.

Successful delivery of projects with minimum supervision leading to happy clients and repeat business.

Minimum Requirements
Well developed interpersonal and communication skills are key.
Strong experience of delivering technically complex projects in the Public sector
Proven track record of delivering technically complex construction projects from inception to completion
Experience of working in another comparable consultancy environment, or with a client organisation.
Good understanding of project Governance and procurement processes
Ability to develop long term relationships with all team members, and effectively balance people and processes
Previous experience of managing internal resources, including the training and mentoring of more junior staff members

Preferred Qualifications
Professional Qualified – ideally Project Management/ Construction/Engineering/Quantity Surveying Degree
Chartered Status with the RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ICE or other equivalent institution
APM affiliation preferred (as secondary accreditation)
Prince 2 or MSP experience
Good Understanding of contracts (RIAI, GCCC, NEC3, JCT, etc…)
Safe Pass card
