In Hardware Engineering we provide bespoke innovative solutions relying on key enabling technologies to meet the challenges of the product portfolios of the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) domain specialities of:
Manned and unmanned ISR Systems including both the Air and Ground segments
Airborne maritime patrol and surveillance systems including Command & Control (C2), radar and associated electronic warfare sub-systems
Surveillance sensors including Electronic Surveillance Measures (ESM), Electronic Intelligence (ELINT), Signal Intelligence (SIGINT) and Airborne Surveillance Radars
Customer support and related services.
You will be working in a community of RF and Microwave Engineers with a wide variety of experience. This offers excellent opportunities for transverse career development. This role will involve working closely within project teams using leading edge technologies & techniques to develop tailored microwave solutions, offering experience over a number of different equipments, encompassing everything from product development through to larger scale platform integrations.

Key responsibilities:
You can expect to perform a real job from Day one, as part of a team covering a variety of tasks - from working on microwave solutions for state of the art microwave components, sub-systems & equipment, to building prototype hardware and carrying out testing & proving of designs
Assisting in the development of basic hardware designs within hardware engineering
Developing new skills / techniques & technologies relevant to the hardware discipline
Performing Simulation and analysis
Witnessing and adopting how hardware designs are developed, documented, tested, controlled and maintained.
Desired skills, qualifications and experience:
You will be studying for a degree in a relevant engineering discipline, i.e. Hardware, Electronic Engineering, Electrical and Electronic, or Communications
Experience of using Hardware design packages or equivalent is desirable
