Overview

• MasterCard Payment Gateway Services is a leading supplier of on-line, cardholder present payment gateway, fraud and risk screening services. We are an innovative and ambitious market leader intent on growing our global presence.
• We now have an opportunity for a partner business development sales person to help us further grow our presence
• The role will suit candidates with strong multi-channel payment gateway experience and market knowledge with experience of working with and recruiting channel partners, Systems Integrators and Omni-channel platforms. We are particularly interested in candidates with a good track record and experience of power base selling.
• Are you able to understand and influence the buying process?
• Can you understand a prospective partner's business and develop compelling value propositions?
• Are you a self-starter who can manage their own priorities?

Role

• Develop a partner acquisition plan with target sectors, accounts etc. and a strategy to execute against the plan to generate success
• Develop a pipeline of qualified new partner opportunities and generate sales to achieve annual new business targets
• Engage with prospects at multiple levels within their organisation including board level
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of MasterCard Payment Gateway Services products and services
and of the MasterCard business overall
• Maintain an awareness of competitors
• Provide accurate forecasts for the business to manage revenue expectations
• Work with other areas of MasterCard to develop leads and ensure we successfully achieve our wider business goals

• A “sales hungry” individual with personal drive to succeed
• Self-starting and highly motivated
• Excellent sales and communication skills with a strong and proven track record in sales engagement at a
senior level
• Highly developed Sales Skills, preferably including the use of Power Base Selling
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales
• Team player and supportive of other team members
• Extensive experience in New Business Sales; proficiency in selling technology
solutions/services used for processing card payments
• A broad understanding of how card payments work
• Experience achieving challenging revenue and profit targets through indirect and white label sales
• A thorough understanding and commercial awareness of the marketplace including customer needs
