Int'l Compensation Specialist

Amazon is seeking a self-driven and detail-oriented International Compensation Specialist to join the International Compensation & Benefits (C&B) team. This role is responsible for providing compensation analytical, consultation, and program support across EMEA and APAC, in partnership with the International C&B team. Objectives for this role include conducting external market research, internal benchmarking, creating and analyzing metrics, partnering with C&B country managers to support and design compensation programs at a country or regional level, and continuously identifying opportunities to improve current practices. The incumbent will work directly with the International C&B Team, HR Business Partners, and Recruiters to achieve reward system objectives and provide hands-on assistance related to all areas of compensation analysis. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-tasked, high-energy environment.

Key Responsibilities:
· Partner with the International C&B team on compensation issues and programs, and work on a variety of special compensation projects from design, implementation and ongoing analysis
· Identify opportunities to streamline processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
· Benchmark, design and manage competitive compensation programs, including university/campus (intern, undergraduate and MBA) compensation and environmental pay (night-shift pay, language premiums, on-call) programs
· Partner with International C&B team to identify resources for market intelligence, and participate in the annual market benchmarking of compensation ranges and pay practices
· Provide analytical and benchmarking support with the preparation of new country launches, in-country expansion projects and acquisitions and resulting harmonization projects § Support ad hoc analysis and projects related to activities such the annual compensation review process, promotion compensation, off-cycle compensation and compliance audits

· Demonstrated superior judgment, diplomacy, and tact, with a willingness to speak up in the midst of adversity
· Excellent analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills
· Ability to create dynamic tools and models to interpret and analyze data
· Solid knowledge of compensation and benefits concepts, laws, compliance and regulations
· Minimum of 4 years of experience in HR or C&B
· Advanced skills in Microsoft Office including Excel, SharePoint, Word and PowerPoint
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field required

· Intermediate to advanced skills in Access is a plus
· Master’s degree preferred
