Senior Vendor Manager - EU Sports footwear

DESCRIPTION

Amazon’s EU Sports Footwear team is looking for a talented Senior Vendor Manager to manage it’s fast growing outdoor footwear category. In this role you will work to improve product selection, creating the earth's greatest Outdoor Footwear shopping experience – a store featuring more products, brands, & more compelling content than any store, online or off!

Your Responsibilities:
· Manage relationships with Outdoor footwear vendors across EU to make Amazon the preferred Outdoor footwear retailer in EU
· Define action plans to reach vendors full potential on the platform, roll out action plans, drive and report performance internally and to vendors to help them achieve shared goals
· Drive business with vendors to meet performance targets by assessing market procurement conditions, recommending annual terms and implementing procurement strategies
· Build comprehensive selection for EU customers looking for Outdoor footwear products
· Recruit new vendors and add relevant selection that customers are looking for
· Attend tradeshows and actively monitor and research industry and competitive trends to make the Amazon offering the best for the customer.
· Actively contribute to all other steps of Shoes retail business in partnership with relevant stakeholders from the EU Sports Footwear team: site merchandising, promotions and pricing, in-stock management, planning and budgeting…
· With the online content management team, develop and execute collaborative marketing and promotions for a wide variety of products across the category, including identifying opportunities for short term cooperative marketing and merchandising.
· Identify areas for improvement in vendor relationships and contribute to continual processes improvements with all relevant stakeholders (Tools and System teams, Finance, Supply Chain…)
· Contribute to cross category projects

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Professional experience ideally in an online, retail, e-commerce or consulting environment.
· Proven ability to influence others in a business setting, being assertive with excellent communication skills
· Ability to move back and forth from big picture plans to very operational issues that needs hands on involvement
· Outstanding analytical skills
· Proven use of supporting tools and systems to deliver business improvement.
· Passionate self-starter, decisive and able to move with speed to implement ideas
· Action and results oriented mentality, combined with the ability to work in a demanding but collegial environment where teamwork is a must.
· Ability to problem-solve using creative thinking and innovation
· Proven English skills – both verbal and written.
