UK Transportation Operations Analyst Overview
Amazon Logistics is looking to hire an analytical, technically skilled, innovative, hands-on, and customer-obsessed Operations Analyst that can drive innovation and execution in transportation networks. As a member of the UK Transportation team you will be responsible for optimizing the transportation and delivery network to meet with the strategic network plan.

An ideal candidate should be able to understand work in a fast paced environment where change is the only stable element. The candidate has the ability to pull and analyze data with ease, drive process improvements, standardize our processes and eliminate the root cause of defects within the current systems. This job will require exceptional communication and interpersonal skills while having the ability to work independently in a high pressure environment and exercise sound judgment where clear guidelines may not exist. The successful candidate will be proficient at solving complex logistics challenges and possess a bias to get things done and deliver results.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Reporting and analysis through tools, portals and reports; using advanced computer literacy (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, TMS)
· Develop and understand performance metrics to assist with driving business results
· Support the development of the C&C Standard Operating Procedures
· Reporting and analysis through tools, portals and reports; following solution-driven approach to systems and processes, using advanced computer literacy (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word) and Data-warehouse analysis
· Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in our transportation network that deliver flexible and efficient products for our customers; such as network configuration changes
· Escalate and articulate where the obstacles are in achieving objectives
· Work closely with Shift and Operations Managers to understand business requirements. Identify and implement technical configuration changes required to enable the execution of the upcoming business requirements and initiatives in a timely manner
· Lead periodical audits of configuration features and ensure systems required to deliver the intended operational effect are in place
· Drive continuous improvement by identifying ways to streamline processes and reduce waste
· Maintain/update internal documentation for internal training and reference
· Systematically escalate problems or variance in the information and data to the relevant owners and teams and follow through on the resolutions to ensure that they are delivered
· Scope out business and functional requirements for the Amazon technology teams
· Provide real-time customer experience by working in 24*7 operating environment.

To be successful in this role, you need the ability to be an effective communicator to various audiences. The ability to remain flexible and adapt to learning new tools and systems is instrumental in your role on the team. Our environment is deadline driven, fast paced, and requires you to be detail-oriented and comfortable interacting and working with multiple teams (business and technical).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent with excellent academic record, with Logistics /Supply Chain / Mathematics / Science /Engineering subjects
· 3+ years of previous experience in a similar role in Logistics or Transportation operations
· Proficiency in Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps)
· Fluent in English
· Excellent communication, both verbal and written as one may be required to create a narrative outlining weekly findings and the variances to goals, and present these finding in a review forum.
· Strong inter-personal and relationship-building skills
· Ability to prepare, report and interpret large sets of data

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Work experience in operations/supply chain/logistics/e-commerce is a plus
· Experience of supply chain management and transportation concepts: forecasting, planning, optimization, logistics, delivery performance, carrier negotiation
