Junior Corporate Finance Analyst

Diageo Corporate has a significant cost base within Diageo Group that is spread across different functions, locations and accounting systems.
Efficient use of this spend requires information to be readily available to many individuals in a variety of format as well as effective management and control of the overall financial control environment.
Financial support is provided to a variety of Business Support teams and working closely with them is necessary in order to ensure that greatest value is delivered to the Group in respect of Corporate costs.

Purpose of the role
Provide high quality, consistent finance support to Global Supply & Procurement by:
•Be the key point of contact for processing related tasks function in all financial matters
•By having great understanding of the function ensure that financial processes are under constant development and improvement
•Create and maintain true business partnership, relationships that drive both efficiencies and effectiveness in the Functions

•Support the Annual Planning process for Senior Corporate Analysts (including preparation of the cost centre level budgets and consolidating them on the function level)
•Journal posting of accruals, prepayments, intercompany recharges and other ad hoc transactions
•Provide assistance with ad hoc queries and in projects
•Support and work together with respective functional stakeholders to achieve high level customer satisfaction
•Ensure full compliance with our internal audit controls

•University or college degree in finance/accounting/business
•Finance & accounting knowledge
• Good business English, able to communicate with stakeholders
•Experience in working with integrated software system (SAP knowledge is an advantage)
•Experience in working in a consumer led and customer service driven multinational environment
•Able to work to tight deadlines
•Excellent Excel skills
•Experience of working in a role requiring significant communication skills
•Self-motivated and well organised approach to work
