About the Business Line Transportation
We provide professional services in areas such as aviation, transit, freight rail, highways and bridges, planning, and ports and marine. Job Summary AECOM, as part of the S&C Alliance, is the main Design organisation on the Network Rail On Network Works for Euston High Speed 2 Rail project. Network Rail needs to make significant alterations to the Euston railway to allow the High Speed 2 programme to start its works in early 2019.

As a result, Network Rail has launched a programme of projects to enable High Speed 2’s entry into the area. The S&C Alliance is a tripartite organisation consisting of Network Rail, AECOM as the Designers and Colas as the Construction organisation.
We are responsible for design of the Track, Overhead Line Electrification (OLE), Civils, Drainage and power supplies.
AECOM is recruiting for an Engineering Manager to lead and integrate projects on behalf of the AECOM Euston Senior Management Team.

Engineering Manager Duties

Be the chief Engineer for your projects and ensure each of our Engineering disciplines produce good quality designs, meeting the Clients Engineering Standards and AECOM’s own Engineering standards and design practices. Lead with the integration of our engineering disciplines to ensure we have a coordinated, multidisciplinary design that is fit for purpose.
Actively lead engagement with our build partner, Colas Rail to ensure our designs are of good quality and buildable.
Review and approve our designs per project stage and sign off on the completion of our designs.
Support and challenge each of our heads of discipline in Track, OLE, Civils, Drainage, Electrification and Plant assuring yourself that they have followed due process, producing a compliant, integrated, buildable design.
Review and authorise survey requests from our Designers. On track surveying is done by our build partner Colas so you will not be responsible for any site works.

Minimum Requirements For this role, you will ideally be degree educated in Engineering with a proven track record in an Engineering Management role.

We are looking for an individual who can establish and implement an effective engineering management process throughout the life of projects with the ability to clearly brief and lead the teams.

Preferred Qualifications Relevant degree in Engineering
Ideally an Incorporated or Chartered member of a relevant engineering institution.
