About the Business Line Water
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.

Job Summary
AECOM is currently seeking a Wastewater Project Director to lead a large wastewater treatment project based out of the Dublin, Ireland office. This project has a 5-year delivery programme and represents an excellent opportunity to develop strong client relationships and lead the water delivery team in Dublin. The project involves performing an Employers Representative Role through the tender design, procurement and construction phases on a 400,000PE WwTW and 27km of orbital sewer and sewerage outfall.

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
Effectively maintain and develop healthy client relationship throughout the project execution and project close-out,
Create a team environment that supports AECOM’s Client focus, where employees meet the expectations, requirements, and agreements of our Clients,
Proactively resolve performance, scope, cost and schedule issues,
Help define project scope, goals, deliverables, and compliance requirements
Help define project staffing and resource requirements in consultation with Department Managers
Manage planning and scheduling of project deliverables and the development of resource loaded schedules for design and contract administration services
Define the project quality requirements. Ensure compliance with AECOM’s and the Client’s quality policies and procedures
Manage design team and develop an execution plan that allows work to be executed in logical sequences, monitors design activities, manages inter-discipline data flow and communication, and manages the introduction of design changes
Ensure strict compliance with the Client’s and AECOM’s safety policies and procedures
Use a full range of available communication mediums to engage and solicit inputs from key stakeholders on each project
Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of engineering management reports and on-going status reports to our clients and AECOM’s Senior Leadership at the District and Regional levels

Minimum Requirements
•Bachelor's degree in Civil, Process Mechanical, Chemical and/or Civil Engineering
•Chartered Engineer with a recognised professional body.
•15+ years of Project Management and Design / Construction experience
•Commissioning and Plant Operations experience would be considered an asset
•Proven experience in project management and the design and delivery of wastewater treatment plants and / or major trunk sewers
•Proficient in common desktop packages, i.e. Word, Excel, MS Project
•Motivated, team player, independent, organized
•Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
•Demonstrated experience in development of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), scheduling and schedule analysis, cost estimating and cost control, budget development, reporting and record/document control
•Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills
•Strong business acumen
