Associate Director - Corporate Research Department, Europe Office

Corporate Research Department (Europe Office)’s principle responsibility is to conduct research of a company mainly from a corporate credit perspective and of specific industries in order to make accurate credit recommendations to the management.
This position must possess advanced research capability and in-depth industry knowledge.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

1. Prepare accurate, clear, well-organised and complete in-depth industry and/or company research report based on publicly available information and/or information obtained from the interviews and meetings with various stakeholders including the company.
2. Provide effective analysis of the industry and/or the company, identifies strengths and risks, competitive positions within the industry sectors. Require to produce accurate and well-constructed cash flow projections.
3. Produce an effective presentation of the research report to the senior management.
4. Proactively monitor assigned industries and/or borrowers within the industries including market data such as stock prices, EDF and CDS, other appropriate indices or any key events/news and reports the information and its impact on credits/industries to the management in a timely manner.

Knowledge & Skills:

·Good corporate analysis and research skills (including cash flow analysis / modelling).
·Experience of lending to and/or analysing corporate finance in EMEA region.
·Ability to analyse balance sheets, income statement, and cash flows statement.
·Good oral and written communication / presentation skills and ability to communicate at all levels.
·Good interpersonal skills.
·Solid time management skills.
·Capable of working well independently and in teams.
·Computer literate – word processing / spreadsheet.
·Ability to have business trip for customer interview around once a month.
·Ability to work in a time constrained and cross cultural environment.

·Good knowledge of EMEA legal and regulatory systems
·Fluency in European language - preferable but not essential
·Fluency in Japanese language - preferable but not essential
