Senior Business Analyst, Talent Acquisition

DESCRIPTION

The Senior Business Analyst is a key position within the EU Talent Acquisition organisation and will play a critical role in the creation of reporting tools that will help to identify areas for improvement in the Amazon recruiting process. This person will employ methodologies that will engage teams to address customer reporting opportunities, share best practice and streamline processes to improve the quality of data provided to HR teams and stakeholders. This role will identify, create, develop and integrate solutions that lead to improvements across the EU TA network as well as delivery to our customers. Part of that process will be to create and embed mechanisms that drive current year and year on year improvement in TA delivery and to own specific goals/programs, including ones the role self-identifies. The candidate should be self-driven and possess the ability to work in an ambiguous environment. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, the professionalism in dealing with sensitive situations is important. As such, the candidate must be skilled at anticipating problems, creating contingency plans, managing multiple priorities, problem solving and organizing logistics.

Primary Responsibilities:
· Identify the critical metrics/reports that measure Talent Acquisition efficiency/effectiveness and analyse recruiting impact
· Create client facing (TA and business clients) dashboards that facilitate decisions, and enable TA to give data-rich insightful updates to their business partners
· Perform proactive diagnostic analysis on TA measures and performance indicators in order to surface meaningful insights to the Business and HR leaders
· Partner with Finance to gather business financial data and create talent forecasts to support the business growth
· Partner with the global Business Intelligence team to share the international needs and identify opportunities to collaborate on common areas
· Act as EU representative for global metric standardization work; working with reporting team to build set of standard management reports, including standard definitions; represent team in global forums
· Drive best practices and enable fast business decision making through the preparation of operational reports using excel and database queries
· Ensure data quality in relevant databases and drive best practices in the organization to ensure data integrity
· Combine recruiting and HR data to provide business and TA leaders with complete people metrics that enable talent decisions
· Create educational material for the user community and provide training to users on business intelligence analysis tools, dashboards and reports
· Mentor or coach other reporting specialists and/or recruiters within the EU TA org, with particular focus on developing analytical skills
· Use predictive modelling techniques to proactively predict and pre-empt recruiting scenarios
· Be responsible for on-going development and support of new and existing OBIEE reports and interfaces

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Ability to develop quick turn-around, practical and creative recommendations and solutions in a fast moving environment, often in new areas
· Advanced analytical skills and the ability to think strategically and programmatically
· Bachelor’s degree in business, statistics, or related field
· Expert level skills in Microsoft Excel, Access and SQL Developer/MySQL and ability to write SQL queries
· Strong competence in gathering and documenting business requirements and defining optimal solutions
· Strong oral and written communications skills to translate complex requirements into technical design and implement appropriate solutions
· Ability to handle responsibilities independently, while exercising good judgment in problem solving and keeping team members adequately informed
· Ability to work efficiently and accurately in time sensitive matters and organized to manage and track multiple priorities simultaneously – grace under pressure and the ability to switch gears at a moment’s notice
· Unwavering commitment to maintaining confidentiality and a high level of integrity, discretion and trustworthiness
· Desire and aptitude for learning new concepts quickly and the ability to adapt and learn multiple cross functional internal system
· Knowledge of data warehousing concepts
· Knowledge and direct experience using business intelligence reporting tools.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Master’s degree or MBA
· Project Management experience with experience in scoping, leading and delivering moderately complex projects
· Applied knowledge of statistical tools/processes to identify data trends, estimate statistical relevancies, and recommend data driven proposals for various business issues
· Experience with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) 11g using BI Answers, BI Publisher and Interactive Dashboards, Tableau
· Experience working with HR tools (i.e. PeopleSoft etc.)
