Our Croydon office is currently recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our multidisciplinary Asset Management team offering which covers the South East region.

About the role:
A Mechanical Engineer will be involved in surveys, feasibility studies, outline and detailed designs, construction support. The successful candidate will be either approaching chartership, or chartered and have proven design experience, delivering to quality, time and budget. This role will suit someone with a mechanical engineering / building services degree, who is enthusiastic, self motivated, and looking to advance their career.

About the team:
Our Asset Management team is formed of a combination of Building Surveyors, MEP engineers, project managers and support staff split between Croydon, Aldgate and Basingstoke. We delivery a 'one-stop shop' project solution to our clients.

Take lead role in surveys and design
Obtain the necessary information both internally and externally from Architects, Quantity Surveyors and Design Consultants for the design to proceed.
Ensure compliance with all Statutory and Regulatory obligations, make submissions to the Statutory Authorities and obtain approvals as necessary.
Ensure the Design Team is kept fully informed of all technical and other information necessary for the duration of the project.
Produce all design information, and ensure that all calculations are prepared and signed off in accordance with the requirements of the IMS, relevant Standards and Codes of Practice.
Represent AECOM at Client, Design Team and Progress meetings throughout the design and construction phases of projects.

Ability to work accurately, independently and efficiently, and to take ownership of projects.

Be an effective communicator and team worker.

Be proactive about self development, being close to or already achieving Chartered Engineer status.

Ability to assist in the management of tasks for junior and trainee engineers.

Degree educated in mechanical engineering or similar / related discipline.
