Job Summary

AECOM Netherlands is currently looking for a Business Analyst

For one of our clients in the Retail industry we are setting up a new team to manage their maintenance and ensure fully compliance with Dutch legislation (law). This includes but is not limited to: HSSE management for all activities carried out by our subs Contract Management of all subs. Together with your team member you work on procurement strategies, value improvement, for all the Opex related activities.

The purpose of the role of Business Analyst is to analyze the data and performance criteria and to propose innovative lean methods of improving delivery and life cycle initiatives across the design, EPCM and FM contracts with the view of creating value improvements and enhancing the KPI performance.

The Business Analyst, will be responsible for the management and delivery of various aspects of the development of systems and processes in the team. The successful applicant should be able to display “critical thinking" and sometimes "system thinking"; taking something large, ambiguous, and abstract and breaking into smaller pieces, patterns, and views. The role will be about helping others see the details and big picture from different perspectives, helping stakeholders with varying points of view and priorities see where their details and others fit into the bigger picture.

Key requirements of the role also include:

Able to assess multiple data files and interpret to recommend business opportunities that drive value for Shell.

Requirements gathering and interpreting various reports from the systems

Review all AECOM systems and processes and develop strategy for ‘fit for future purpose’

Support the implementation and maintenance Lean processes

AECOM owner of the development and introduction of suitable software packages for all disciplines across Design, Commercial, project delivery and asset performance.

Process review of AECOM implementation processes and make recommendations for improvement

Directly supporting the Asset Performance team on development of ‘workstream’ initiatives from the systems and process perspective.

Management of 3 rd party solutions for design and build value improvements.

Change Management, Implementation planning and continuous improvement owner

Training co-ordination of AECOM staff on new process and systems

Reporting on progress of work stream deliverables to Shell Governance Group according to agreed schedule

Delivering all activity in accordance with AECOM Project Delivery System

Collaboration with all stakeholders

Embedding processes and methodologies into AECOM Team and look for opportunities to improve them continually

Support the strategic direction for the business unit and govern activities towards those agreed principles

Manage and deliver aspects of the FM Programme of works in AECOM including:

*Champion AECOM systems and process delivery initiatives from inception through to benefits realisation review post implementation

Review and make recommendations for approval on resourcing plans for systems and process projects

Point of escalation for all systems and process development and maintenance

Oversee delivery of all systems projects on behalf of the AECOM and in conjunction with Shell

Ensure business communication of programme / project / service benefits, impacts, improvements etc

Support business projects that may have an ICT component

To participate in annual appraisals and career development.

Provide a regular update to the Country Manager on all aspects of the responsibilities above

Ensure effective management and reporting of all serious project escalations and issues

Possess the ability extract key trends from complex and abstract databases

Have the ability to conceptualise the findings of data analysis into readily identifiable business solutions through presentation and whiteboard brainstorming sessions.

Have a mindset to always ask “WHY” and to inspire others to think outside of the box or seek deeper value from parking lot items

Understanding how changes and solutions impact the stakeholder’s operations, processes, attitudes and behaviours

Minimum Requirements

Essential requirements of Applicant

Degree calibre or equivalent experience in sigma/lean process management

More than 3 years’ experience in an operational role

HSSE compliant

Confident and capable individual with strong client focus

Experienced in managing a diverse operational team

Strong track record in delivering projects in a fast moving and challenging environment

Ability to work under pressure and to tight dead-lines
