Maternity cover: EU Fashion PR Manager

Amazon Fashion, one of Amazon’s fastest growing businesses, is seeking a strategic, high judgement, well-connected public relations professional to head up the European communications team for Amazon Fashion Europe. The role is based in London.
· The desired individual will lead public relations initiatives for Amazon Fashion across Europe including management of local country teams in UK, Germany, France, Italy Spain. The candidate will work closely with the senior management team from the fashion business team including business leaders, marketing, content, and International counterparts in US, Japan, and India. The successful candidate should have demonstrated expertise in fashion and consumer media relations, leadership experience, as well as an entrepreneurial and goal-oriented approach. He/she should be a strategic thinker and enjoy working in a fast-paced culture.
Key responsibilities include:
· Managing the European fashion PR team to deliver day to day public relations activities for Amazon Fashion across Europe (5 internal team members in UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain plus external agencies)
· Working closely with the internal corporate communications team to handle issues relating to the fashion business
· Responding to business launches by creating strategic PR plans that align with brand and content activity
· Budget management
· Internal stakeholder management
Able to work at internet-speed, you will have a track record of delivery on major campaigns, a high level of creativity and extensive experience in dealing with high level media.


• PR expert - a demonstrated feel for what works for a brand and a strong contact book
• Tactically aware - knowledgeable about what’s going on in the media and on the site and able to marry the two at short notice for maximum PR benefit
• Strategic- ensuring that PR activity delivers against business objectives and articulates key messages
• Proactive in the extreme - enjoys taking responsibility and making things happen
• Organised - able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while managing essential admin work
• Leadership - able to inspire teams and agencies to deliver and demonstrate responsibility for PR to senior managers
• Adaptable - able to work in a corporate environment


· Minimum of 10 years of public relations experience
· Background working with fashion or retail companies
· Experience executing highly successful, creative media relations campaigns
· Outstanding written and oral English skills
· Bachelor’s degree required
