Business Intelligence Analyst - EU Fashion

DESCRIPTION

Where will Amazon Fashion’s growth come from next year? In five years? Which product lines are staged to quintuple in size, and which ones are mature? Are we investing enough in our structure, do we leave opportunities on the table? How will our customers react to changes in prices, or selection, or delivery speed?

We are looking for a business analyst to join the Softlines team (Amazon’s Fashion business). Amazon fashion's business is a dynamic, fast growing business and a key strategic focus areas for the company. We need bright, talented people to help us fulfill our mission of making Amazon fashion the premier online fashion destination.

The key goal for this role is to help deliver robust analysis based on facts, data (internal and external), and interpretation of the data to drive actions and define next steps together with the business leadership team. The growth of the business and the increasing complexity make this role an exciting, interesting, and very challenging position. We need someone who is passionate about big data and capable of finding meaning in complex information and translating that into insights, metrics, and reports that executives and senior leaders will use to drive their businesses. The ideal candidate for this role will be analytical with the capability to dive in and learn new technologies fast and who is comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; will be a creative and an analytical problem solver with the opportunity to fulfill the Amazon motto to “Work Hard. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 4+ years of professional experience in analytics, business analysis or comparable forecasting position.
· Working knowledge of data mining using SQL, ETL, data warehouse as well as Excel and interested to build up this skill-set
· Advanced reporting and data visualization skills.
· Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
· Proven problem solving skills, project management skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills.
· Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast paced environment.
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field.
· Experience in financial or operations planning.
· Experience in time series modeling of financial data or machine learning forecasting applications.
· Experience in customer behavior research.
· Advanced knowledge of visualization techniques and tools
