Senior Program Manager - Brexit

AWS is seeking a Senior Program Manager to join the fast paced world of Operations in the AWS EMEA team based in London.

The Senior Program manager will support the coordination of all work stream activity relating to “Brexit” and the UK’s decision to leave the European Union. He or She will need to quickly align with all the potential business impacts of Brexit and help create a clear response pathway for all AWS business entities across EMEA. They will interact with senior stakeholders within Europe as well as local and global functions working on this initiative.

The right person will have a bias for action and will naturally take ownership to help execute initiatives and programs. He or She will be a highly astute, dynamic, structured, highly-organized and extremely resourceful. The Senior Program Manager will insist on incredibly high standards and need to be an excellent writer; able to communicate directly and honesty.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
· Program management and planning for the overall Brexit initiative.
· Support business analysis on impact of Brexit related regulation and GDPR
· Making recommendations for how business should prepare and respond
· Issue management across all work streams
· Project management, meeting planning, agenda, minutes and running work stream / steering group meetings
· Project status and management reporting
· Working with other team members to make it happen (execute on the details & bring the right people together).
· Project-manage ensuring deadlines are being hit and appropriate steps are being taken.
· Ensure key learnings are shared across all relevant stakeholders


· Significant experience managing successful projects and programs across EMEA
· Ability to engage at a senior level across multiple business functions
· Knowledge of government policy and regulations across the EU including GDPR
· Transformation project experience covering complex business models
· Experienced business analyst and ability to understand complex issues
· Skills should include: project management; information gathering; problem solving; business analysis; excellent written and verbal communication skills; self-starter with minimum supervision; good time management and organisational skills
· High-level of structure, execution and follow-through
· Significant business understanding of how high growth technology companies operate
· Proven, successful track record of navigating through ambiguous situations
· Strong organizational, audit, analytical and quantitative skills; ability to work with business owners to define key business questions and to build data sets that answer those questions
· The ability to handle highly confidential information with extreme discretion
· Flexibility regarding workload and comfortable changing directions quickly in a high-paced environment
· Fluent written and spoken business English


· Multiple European languages
· MBA Educated
