Team Leader - Business Systems and Analysis

The primary purpose of the Team Leader - Business Systems and Analysis is to lead the team of business systems analysts, maintain the existing internal systems; lead the selection and implementation of new systems; drive new system cross-functionally and with external customers; produce management information and conduct data analysis to drive improved business outcomes.

The key focus of this role is to support and improve customer acquisition, customer retention and cost reduction through high quality provision of technology and interpretation of data. This role is part of the Business Support team, which sits within the Operations function alongside the Customer Support teams based at Thales Training and Consultancy in Crawley, West Sussex.

Key Responsibilities
Leading and managing the Business Systems Analysts to deliver the schedule of system activity for internal and external customers and to maintain internal systems and to prioritise project-related activity.
Working with the Service Delivery Manager to identify and develop technical solutions in line with the IS roadmap, to streamline business processes and deliver measurable efficiencies.
Maintaining quality of systems data through continuous governance of processes.
Gather and manage system requirements to ensure solutions deliver desired outcomes and achieve measurable benefits.
Work closely with other stakeholders across TT&C to ensure systems are compatible with business objectives and deliver high user satisfaction.
Design and embed processes in line with system implementation and upgrades.
Working on projects to lead work packages, ensuring system requirements are delivered on time and within budget.
Ensure operational processes are aligned to systems to achieve maximum effectiveness and efficiency.
Managing inbound queries from internal and external stakeholders and acting as a point of escalation for query resolution.
Management of suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders in relation to system issues, root cause analysis and change control requests; prioritising activity to deliver high stakeholder satisfaction.
Liaise with Key Account Managers to ensure the business systems remain compliant with client contracts and SLAs.
Co-ordinate and complete testing for changes, upgrades and developments to business systems, including liaison with Thales UK, external clients and HRIS suppliers.
Proactively assess data entry processes, conduct root cause analysis on errors and define, implement and monitor solutions through training and engagement with wider team.
Interrogate systems to provide reporting and data analysis to support business decisions and fulfil client requirements.
Acting as a subject matter expert on external customer projects where technical knowledge is required.

Good Communication skills (explaining technical issues/solutions to non-technical audience)
Ability to gather and present stakeholder requirements
Strong stakeholder management skills including working with senior stakeholders
Knowledge and awareness of data modelling techniques
experience of working in an HR information systems environment, ideally with a focus on Learning Management Systems (e.g. Planning, Scheduling & eLearning systems)
Previous experience of deployment of new technology to cross functional teams
Project delivery in a fast paced environment
Team leadership / line management experience

Previous experience of working in a Learning & Development environment
Supplier management
Process development
Educated to degree level in an IS-related subject (or equivalent experience)
