About the Business Line Government
AECOM’s Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs.GSS supports the U.S. Government, non-U.S. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support.

Job Summary
USAID’s Strengthening Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development (SEED) in Egypt project is part of the United States – Government of Egypt Trade and Investment Promotion in Egypt (TIPE) Bilateral Agreement. More specifically, the purpose of the SEED contract is to increase employment and income of MSMEs and entrepreneurs, especially those owned by women and youth in disadvantaged areas, by: (1) stimulating entrepreneurship and innovation; (2) enhancing formalization of private enterprises; (3) improving financial and non-financial services to MSMEs; (4) integrating MSMEs and entrepreneurs in progressive value chains; and (5) addressing enabling environment policy reform initiatives to facilitate MSME development that is aligned to the Government of Egypt’s (GOE) socio-economic development strategy.

Main Tasks
Work closely with the Component A team to develop an action plan and timeline for key milestones and deliverables within 5 days of commencing the assignment;
Conduct a mapping exercise of the existing entrepreneurship courses and materials available at the selected university, including any programs targeting women;
With a predetermined set of criteria, assess and rate the course and program offerings to identify domestic best practice models while integrating international approaches;
Based on findings and conclusions from the above exercises, develop or build on the existing entrepreneurship program(s) and approach(es) that best suit the needs and expectations of both the universities and students. The type, length, delivery of these programs should fit both the university’s and student’s needs and expectations but should include a cross section of key topics such as the meaning and importance of entrepreneurship, innovation, different entrepreneurial business models, uses of ICT technology, team-based interaction, financial literacy, financial products and services, business development services, market and competitive analyses, pricing, differentiation, financial forecasting and performance financial statements; and
Included in the program(s) above, ensure that there are components that address the particular needs and constraints faced by women entrepreneurs, based on identified best practices in women’s entrepreneurship education.

Minimum Requirements
5 years of intensive training experience at the higher education level.
Previous experience in designing and delivering academic courses and programs.
Experience in developing and delivering Training of the Trainer (TOT) curriculum to university level professors or above.
Solid understanding of the entrepreneurship eco-system, key players, challenges & opportunities.
Fair understanding of the MSMEs scene, main players, challenges & opportunities.
Prior experience working with women and youth on entrepreneurship issues.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong analysis skills to support decision making.
Ability to solve problems and manage conflicts.
Must be proficient in writing, reading and speaking in English and Arabic (if candidate is Egyptian)
