Senior Instock Manager - Launch

DESCRIPTION

This is not your traditional retail category role with pre-defined tools, processes, and systems. This is a rare opportunity to join the ground floor of a new initiative.

In this role you will play a vital part in delivering a first class customer experience by owning the in-stock, forecasting, and inventory management processes for the programme. You will have end to end ownership of the inventory from our vendors to the final customer. In order to be successful you will have a process focus, a passion for inventing and you will partner with internal teams to design a path of continuous improvement in our tools and systems. You will be relentlessly focused on delivering high in-stock rates in order to achieve aggressive growth plans. You will dive deep into the core drivers of in-stock performance and proactively identify opportunities to improve.

The successful candidate will communicate effectively across teams and levels of seniority, balancing the needs and requirements of internal and external customers. This position involves regular communication with senior management on status, risk and business inputs. Cross-team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Build the inventory management and in-stock playbook.
2. Define innovative solutions to improve the way we manage our demand forecast and inventory strategies.
3. Own our end-to-end planning processes and workflows to support our assortment strategy for the benefit of consumers, in-bound shipment management, sales, inventory turns, customer replenishment and inventory health.
4. Audit, measure, and continuously improve key inputs to the customer experience.
5. Drive systems, process and reporting automation with internal teams.
6. Work with internal teams to help drive tools and process improvements that affect purchasing and procurement workflows, with emphasis on automating tasks that are currently performed manually.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s Degree.
· 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Planning, Inventory Management or equivalent experience in Consulting, Finance, or Operations.
· Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to dive deep to understand root cause and identify scalable solutions.
· Excellent business judgment, strong written and oral communication skills.
· Advanced Excel skills. Strong data extraction, analytical and problem solving skills.
· Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced. environment
· High degree of organisation and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
· Extreme attention to detail and willingness to roll up your sleeves.
. Ability to thrive in a high energy environment where tactical and strategic activities are expected to be driven in parallel.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Advanced SQL skills.
· Familiarity with statistical concepts.
· MBA or Graduate degree in Business, Finance, Math’s, Engineering or a Supply Chain/Operations discipline.
