About the Business Line Environment
Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources.

Job Summary
AECOM are currently offering an exciting employment opportunity for Arboricultural Consultants to join our rapidly expanding arboricultural teams based in ourLeeds offices.

Arboricultural services within AECOM are typically provided as part of a wider range of integrated environmental and engineering services to support the planning and development process. The opportunity represents an exceptional prospect for the chosen candidate to be involved in the delivery and expansion of arboricultural services within an industry leading, multinational consultancy.

You will be involved in the delivery of arboricultural services and technical advice for a wide range of urban and rural projects on a variety of scales. An understanding of client expectations, commercial awareness and the ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team is also key to this role. The candidate should have the ability to clearly and simply communicate technical concepts or principals to both clients and professional colleagues. Work may be a combination of office, home and site based as appropriate for the chosen candidate, however there will be a requirement to attend the Basingstoke or Leeds office on a regular basis.

Minimum Requirements
The successful candidate will possess a sound level of arboricultural knowledge through a combination of academic qualification and demonstrable previous experience.

IT skills should include Microsoft Office, Adobe with the use of AutoCAD, GIS and industry graphics packages being an advantage within this role.

Previous experience should include undertaking tree condition surveys, the production of BS5837 level survey and reporting work, the management of trees on development sites and familiarity with Statutory Designations relating to trees.

A full driving licence will be required.

Preferred Qualifications
Qualifications should include as a minimum the Technicians Certificate in Arboriculture, (or equivalent Level 3/4 qualification), the Lantra Professional Tree Inspection qualification and evidence of recent active training and CPD activity within the arboricultural industry.
