Job Summary
The Indian Navy has appointed AECOM as the project management consultant for its prestigious Project Seabird – Phase IIA. The largest naval infrastructure project for India, it involves creation of a naval base at Karwar on the west coast of India. Upon completion, this $3 billion program and effort will provide the Indian Navy with its largest naval base on the west coast and also the largest naval base east of the Suez Canal.
During the decade-long project, AECOM will manage and oversee the planning, design, contracting, construction and acceptance of the entire works, including construction of a new Naval Air Station.

AECOM is looking for an expert in Contracts Management. The roles and responsibilites are as below:-
Formulation of Procurement Policies for Construction Contracts
Develop and implement procedures for contract management and administration in compliance with company policy.
Tender, Bid and Award Management – Preparation of RFQs & RFPs for shortlisting and selection of Contractors.
Tender evaluations and recommendations, awards of contract, preparation of contract agreements.
Contract Administration
Project Construction Management - Ensuring all provisions of the contract between the contracting parties are complied, Monitoring the performance reviews of the contractor as per contract, tracking the payment system, contract change control system, claim administration, record management system.
Project Contract Management - Liaising in Contractual and Financial matters, Ensure validity of contractual requirements, Check contractor’s valuation, Monitor final contract cost estimates
Contract Change Management - Assist the Client in contract change management by providing support for contract amendments, monitoring, tracking, executing and reporting status of contract changes.
Contract Dispute Resolution - Assist the Client in managing dispute resolution through formal dispute resolution channels by reviewing the contract and developing the calendar, determining documents and notice requirements, notifying and working through informal dispute resolution, supporting the dispute resolution procedure, and preparing for and executing through final dispute resolution; also may assist in establishing such channels where necessary.
Provide guidance on contract matters to project managers or other operational staff, including training to new project managers and other employees in contracting practices and procedures
Last but not the least, lead a team of qualifies contract engineers and managers.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering / MBA or other advanced degree (s) desirable.
Applications knowledge in General Conditions of Contract for Civil works (GCC CW)
FIDIC Conditions of Contract (FIDIC), Institution of Civil Engineers Conditions of Contract (I.C.E), Standard Method of Measurement in Civil Engineering Practices etc.
Minimum of 25 years experience in Engineering industry
Previous employment in similar role in Indian Government bodies/ agencies MUST

Preferred Qualifications
Excellent communication, organizational and supervisory skills
Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
