Amazon is looking for bright and ambitious individuals to build their career within its Payments team. You will join us as a Senior Partner Manager.

What is the Role?
Working within one of the fastest growing areas of Amazon you will have the opportunity to partner with high potential retailers across a variety of different categories with a view to helping grow their online businesses.
· Prospect, call, qualify and close the highest value and/or most strategically important merchants for Amazon Payments.
· Understand the wider business drivers of Amazon Payments to drive awareness/adoption through opening new verticals/market segments.
· Create new internal business processes, tools, structures, etc to drive growth/continuous improvement and create new opportunities for Amazon Payments.
Operating in a fast-moving and challenging environment, Amazon’s high performance bar requires that you are self-motivated and target driven, skilled in phone based sales, able to work autonomously and take full control and responsibility for achieving the quarterly sales target.

Roles & Responsibilities
· Become a thought leader in defining success criteria and understand business needs of merchants in a dynamic business environment.
· Partner with internal and external teams and other Partner Management teams to align programs and initiatives to drive growth.
· Help build a multi-level relationship engagement between the merchant organization and Amazon
· Partner closely with internal and external cross-functional teams to guide the direction of our product offerings.

· Manage complex contract negotiations, creating new models of execution where necessary.
· Identify and optimize high-return marketing engagements with new merchants to drive new revenue opportunities.
· Serve as the primary relationship liaison for business, technical and high priority customer service escalations during merchant launch process.
· Define and deliver the largest new market opportunities. Identify, approach and convert new business and deliver results against target.
· Develop and execute new business strategies which create significant value to the business – opening new market verticals or pioneering new commercial models.
· Identify opportunities to generate massive improvements in transaction volume and buyer/merchant awareness. · Develop a deep understanding of the current and future functionality of Amazon Payments to find and execute new opportunities.

Communication & Reporting:
· Drive content for internal business communications highlighting various initiatives, successes, and platform improvement opportunities through voice of the merchant.
· Prioritise the needs of merchant clients in a manner that balances merchant client needs and internal priorities.
· Set up periodic multi-level engagement with cross-functional stakeholders across select merchants and Amazon Payments organization to address business, operational and strategic priorities.
· Be accountable for driving, measuring, and reporting on key inputs and outputs in and other reporting systems.


· Experience in one/more of: sales, ecommerce, payments.
· Undergraduate degree from top tier university
· Analytical approach to problem solving and a track record of driving results through continuous improvement
· Demonstrable negotiation skills and influencing abilities
· Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
· Experience working with nascent products/services in new markets
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills


· Effective in dealing with C-suite large and extra-large merchants
· History of effectively managing external customers and successfully working with internal teams to build new capability and implement projects
· Independence and flexibility in dealing with multiple complex issues
· Experience executing on programs and projects with minimal resources
· Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
· Composed, poised and professional demeanor in all situations
