IVVQ Team Leader

Primary Purpose of the Role:
To lead the team performing TopSky ATC C IVVQ activities. This will include developing some of the current TopSky ATC C IVVQ team to test systems and software to SWAL 3 / AL4 level as required for a new project.

TopSky ATC C is a mature Air Traffic Management system with over 60 systems operational worldwide, but has been continually evolved and now includes advanced functionality. Most projects involve implementing minor changes (ECRs) to the standard product to meet specific customer needs. The person performing this role will therefore need to gain a detailed understanding of the TopSky ATC C product.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

Lead the team performing TopSky ATC C IVVQ activities. It is very much a ‘hands on’ role, demonstrating good practice to a team for 6-8 IVVQ engineers. It is not just a team management role.
Work with other systems engineers to ensure testing demonstrates compliance to systems and safety requirements.
Ensure satisfactory technical performance of TopSky ATC C systems by leading document reviews, design reviews, test readiness reviews, system integration and Pre-FAT, Factory Acceptance Test, Configuration Control Boards, Review test strategies produced by Validation Engineers.
Provide guidance on CSCI and system level testing

Skills, Experience and Qualifications needed:

Essential
Hands on’ team leadership with strong interpersonal skills.
A thorough knowledge of systems and software testing to SWAL3 / AL4 level.

Desirable
Knowledge of Air Traffic Management systems and associated safety engineering would be very helpful for this role. e.g. Eurocontrol and SARG CAP670 standards.
Experience of the full systems engineering lifecycle – The TopSky ATC team is a multi-skilled team and there are opportunities to be involved in other aspects of the design process.

Experience of CSCI and systems IVVQ activities - Ideally working on ATM systems.
