Stores Coordinators

Hertfordshire, United Kingdom

We are Amazon; we pioneer.
Since opening our virtual doors in 1995, we’ve been pushing the boundaries of possible further and further.

Our entire business works hard to delight our customers – from the second an order is placed online to the seamless coordination of that order behind the scenes, we strive to stay agile, fluid and intentional. That can be described in one of our core Leadership Principles, which is Bias for Action. This means that our teams band together, roll up their sleeves, and aren’t content with just standing still.

Your responsibilities:

As a high-level overview of this position, you will divide your time between Receiving and Warehouse Management; both key areas of Amazon’s unique, industry-leading order fulfillment process. When Receiving, you will drive proactive coordination of stock receipt booking and services, as they relate to scaled inventory management systems.

Regarding warehouse management, a proactive approach will also be required. Your role here will require you to act as the central point-of-contact for the Operations department regarding all non-inventory goods. What this means is several things: for one, you will need to remain aware–at all times–of all shipping supplies layouts, and how these relate to overall site requirements.

You’ll need to independently oversee the movement and organisation of stock and stored items, throughout the facility you’re assigned to. A crucial element of this will be you disseminating strategic and best practice awareness among your peers. Team briefings and distribution of material handouts will be how you achieve this. you distribute and through team briefings.

On a more day-to-day basis, you will strategically guarantee availability of goods in a context-sensitive environment. For example, ensuring supply is able to meet seasonal demand for winter jackets or snow boots; this is one of various points throughout the calendar year that you’ll need to keep in mind.

Finally, you’ll also be involved in any necessary troubleshooting or issue resolution, if they relate to safety, quality or production standards in any way.

● You’ve gained solid, professional experience working in a fast-paced supply chain, logistics or high volume transportation environment,
● FLT & PPT licence holder,
● Solid computer literacy, with fluent command of the Microsoft Office suite of products,
● You maintain an accurate approach at all times, keep an eye on the finer details of our complex Fulfillment department; you’re also independently-minded and reliable,
● You’re energetic, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, while remaining flexible with a can-do attitude,
● Ambiguity doesn’t faze you: you’re able to work on your own initiative, even in the face of conflicting requests,
● Strong analytical capabilities with cultivated business acumen,
● Dedicated work ethic; you’re motivated enough to meet and exceed production goals, and to consistently meet your deadlines,
● Fluent command of English, both written and verbal,
● As a team leader, you’ll also serve as a role model for safe working behaviours: you’ll also be willing to train and support other team members,

You will work from Wednesdays to Saturdays (10 hours per day).
