Global Expansions & Integrations Lead - AP Payments

Looking to do something nobody else has done? Amazon.com is looking for a leader to be a business leader in our Global Accounts Payable Function. With a scale and complexity that does not exist at any other company, this person will be responsible for the launch of AP Payments as Amazon grows into new markets and businesses. Whether through growth or acquisition, this person will make sure that we can delight our vendors on Day 1 of our launch. They will actively work with technology teams, expansion teams, Treasury and others to consistently deliver.

Taking the nuances that come from new businesses and markets, they will provide thought leadership and help deliver on projects to refine our global payment capabilities. Consistent with a global vision, they will identify areas for continuous improvement, and identify organizational, process or other changes that will provide unprecedented accuracy, innovative payment methods and delight our vendors.
With an emphasis on an exceptional vendor experience and robust controls environment, the goal of this position will be to pay all vendors in the amount, payment method, currency and date they expect. By providing your customer-centric approach, you will participate in Amazon’s growth with more selection and better terms from our diverse supplier base.

The scope for this leader includes the following:
· Serve as the global owner for AP Payments functions for all Amazon expansion projects/programs
· Track, review and drive corrective actions so that all launches and subsequent AP Payment operations meet or exceed metrics and SLAs
· Identify process and technology improvements that can be leveraged across regions or globally within AP and help drive implementation
The right candidate will be independent and flexible with solid communication skills, customer focus and extensive experience in process design and metrics. The candidate must have demonstrated sound business judgment and able to think strategically about a quickly growing business while at the same time have the analytical ability and intelligence to dive into the tactical details.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s in business administration, operations management plus demonstrable years of related experience
· Examples of driving business process design, re-engineering or transformation
· Global project management experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Examples of delivering results through operational excellence and process improvement methodology such as six sigma or kaizen.
· Experience defining business requirements and helping identify solutions through both process improvement and technology
· Demonstrated ability to stay organized and meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
· Experience with understanding complex process flows and driving process improvements.
· Experience defining KPIs and operational metrics
· MBA/CPA/PMP or other certification
· BPO or Shared Services Management - Finance
· Green Belt, Black Belt or Similar Certification
· Understanding of international payment rules and regulations
· Public or private audit experience or controls assessment
· SQL, Cognos, Tableau, BI/BW Reporting
