As the Head of Engineering Delivery for our Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance unit you will oversee over 200 Engineers across hardware, systems and software in the delivery of some of the worlds most advanced unmanned aerial vehicles, radar and electronic warfare systems. Working with the functional heads in Software, Hardware and Systems you will drive engineering excellence throughout the various programmes to ensure these meet the demanding milestones of time, budget and quality. You will also harness your networking skills to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and best practice with our global Thales colleagues and remain at the forefront of ISR technology to help us shape our future product offerings.

Driving operational engineering excellence through the supporting of bids and delivering improvement plans to strive for a world class engineering team
Mitigating engineering challenges
Strengthening the engineering management capability creating a cross functional environment that shares knowledge, experiences and best practice
Supporting Engineering Managers on bids and projects on resourcing, engineering metrics and planning
Imbedding behaviours and thinking that lead to a competitive engineering proposition to our customers whilst maintaining delivery excellence
Representing the UK business within the global community, importing and sharing best practice techniques, knowledge and capability.
Shaping the technology offering ensuring it is future proof and relevance to a diverse customer base.

Skills qualifications and experience
Natural engineering leader with a proven background in leading cross functional teams in the pursuit of engineering excellence on multiple simultaneous complex engineering programmes
Progressive approach to engineering design and management
Confident communicator and proactive networker
Ability to assess market trends and convert them into commercial propositions
