About the Business Line Government
AECOM’s Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. Job Summary
AECOM is now hiring qualified Armament Technicians to perform work in Dülmen Germany in support of APS-2.

Troubleshoot malfunctions in various aircraft systems and perform general organizational level maintenance for Armament Systems.

Essential Responsibilities:
Inspect, train others and perform organizational, intermediate and depot level maintenance/modification on contract units, sub-systems, support equipment and related weapons system
Advise team members and solve unusual maintenance problems by analysis and test on missiles, airframes, engines, flight control, pneudraulic, fuel, electrical/electronic systems, etc
Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures, such as wings and fuselage, and functional components including rigging, surface controls, and plumbing and hydraulic units, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills
Read and interpret manufacturers' and airline's maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components
Perform 100-hour, progressive, isochronal, phase, periodic, and other hourly or calendar inspections, examines reciprocating engines for cracked cylinders and oil leaks, and listens to operating engine to detect and diagnose malfunctions, such as sticking or burnt valves, inspects jet engines and components for cracks, corrosion, foreign object damage, burned areas, distortions, security, warping, wear, and missing segments
Supervise the jacking and towing of aircraft, maintain maintenance records and verifies work was performed satisfactorily
Service engines and airframe components at line station making repairs, short of overhaul, required to keep aircraft in safe operating condition, may specialize in work, repair and modification of structural, precision, and functional spare parts and assemblies, and may specialize in engine repair.

Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Five (5) years actual and recent aircraft, vehicle or missile, or related weapon system experience desired; three (3) years required. Thorough knowledge of technical publications related to aircraft, missile, or wheeled and tracked vehicle maintenance mandatory. Must have knowledge of the scope and limitation of various categories of maintenance and their application to the contract unit and theory and principles of engine operations; accessories and components; theory of flight; rigging of flight controls; electrical and electronic; and mechanical principles. Knowledge of sheet metal, properties of materials, fuels, and oils required.
