About the Business Line Architecture
We help shape the world around us — from high-rise buildings to educational, cultural, research and transportation facilities. Our design process is based on energy-efficient building systems, and appropriate selection of materials and form to maximize environmental conditions and long-term performance.

Job Summary
AECOM are looking for an Associate Director to join their established team.
This full time, permanent role demands a dedicated self-starter with a great team spirit who shares our creative ambitions.
Candidates should have a real interest in the business, marketing and acquisitions side of architecture. A proven ability to work well under pressure and a pragmatic approach to multi-tasking are critical to this role. Candidates with existing client relationships with TFL and Network Rail are preferable.

We are looking for the chosen candidate to:

Actively support the Studio Lead in the daily operation and development of the architectural studio
Manage and prepare the response to RFQ/RFP/RFI, including fee proposals and project specific-writing and definition of scope of services
Assist in initial assessment of potential new projects and competitions including the management of Go-No-Go processes
Assist in market research and prepare regular status updates
Contribute to work winning strategy workshops and customer account management
Manage a range of writing and business reporting activities
Operate within the Company’s compliance standards to manage commercial and project risks
Resource forecasting and management
conduct regular project performance reviews

Minimum Requirements
Self-disciplined, entrepreneurial, and confident in a creative environment, who can work independently as well as part of a group
A background in architecture with experience in project management, business operation and development
Advanced technical design skills and construction experience mandatory
Excellent communication and organisation skills as well as a talent for writing concisely and clearly
Financially and commercially astute, with previous management experience of budgeting and forecasting
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office including Microsoft Project required
Ability to learn quickly new software applications for internal business operations is mandatory (e.g. salesforce, oracle, etc.)
Team management skills mandatory
Experience in working in the rail and transportation architecture sector required

Preferred Qualifications Degree qualified
