Finance Analyst, Accounting

We are seeking a Senior Accountant/ Finance Analyst to join our accounting organization and become major contributor to our Accounting team. As a key member of the UK and Global Accounting team, this individual will be based in our central London offices. Successful candidates in this position will have demonstrable experience with financial reporting and internal control-related responsibilities.
This individual will have responsibility for the controllership and accounting function in support of the EU operations. The accounting flows are operated in multiple legal entities with involvement of a number of stakeholders in different locations.

In addition to the accounting and reporting responsibilities, this individual will be responsible for aspects of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, supporting simultaneous new business project launches and assisting various business partners in identifying accounting controls and processes that are required to support financial and operational reporting. This person will be expected to take ownership, identify improvements and drive positive change across the organisation.

Candidate for these positions will be qualified accountants (CPA / ACCA / ACA / CIMA) experienced in the details of a monthly close cycle, periodic financial reporting and related analytical analysis with a knowledge of various GAAP accounting rules including UK GAAP, US GAAP, or IFRS. Candidate must have demonstrated ability to successfully lead complex, milestone driven projects. Additional traits we are looking for in candidates are a strong desire to exceed expectations, effective interpersonal skills; including persuasive written and oral communication, solid organizational skills, ability to assess and manage risk and some experience with information technology.

Responsibilities will include:

· Representing the UK Accounting team
· Successful closing of the books each month within tight timelines; this involves multiple companies, currencies, and geographies.
· Preparation of various monthly/ quarterly/ annual deliverables to support both internal and external financial reporting, accounting, and controllership.
· Working closely with business partners in the UK, EU, and globally, to identify process improvement opportunities for existing processes and controls, and drive positive change across the organization.
· Ad hoc, cross functional project work including, but not limited to, accounting/ process integration for newly acquired UK registered legal entities.
Applying knowledge of multiple reporting systems to deliver solutions. This requires advanced computer literacy (MS Office, especially Excel) and the aptitude to understand system dependencies. Knowledge of Oracle, Hyperion Essbase, Cognos database structures and SQL are an advantage.


· University degree required
· CIMA, ACCA, and ACA or similar credentials
· Accounting experience – public/ private mix preferred
· Demonstrated ability participating in milestone driven projects

· Solid organisational, project management skills, and information technology aptitude
