As Director of Anti-Submarine Warfare Sector in the Maritime Mission Systems business in the UK, leveraging the global business unit and harnessing the individuals currently delivering on a critical pipeline of contracts you will be responsible for delivering the next stage of growth through the setting of and delivering an innovative and ambitious business strategy.

Key responsibilities
Actively lead and drive the strategic business planning and multi-year budget process that will deliver year on year growth for the maritime customer support & services sectors
Providing advice and input to the maritime MD and through your business unit peers to deliver the wider maritime strategy
Review and Identify the research activity required each year to develop the product portfolio that will enable the business to deliver new services to our customers. To then articulate this then into the self-funded research and development planning process at the Maritime Mission Systems, UK and international Defence Mission Systems level
Create and foster an environment that generates and encourages new ways of serving our customers
Ensure the business unit meets its customer deliverables on time and in budget, safeguarding Thales as a trusted partner in existing and new markets
Look for and delivering new efficient ways of working allowing us to consistently improve how we serve our customers.

Skills, qualifications and experience
Ambitious and inventive you will have led a business unit delivering growth in a competitive and complex environment by challenging the status quo and developing new ways of generating revenue
Approachable and open you will know how to interact successfully within an international customer group demonstrating first class cultural awareness
Knowledgeable and trusted you will be able to understand and predict market trends, being seen as a market guru by your customer and peers
Inspirational and supportive you will be able to lead a dedicated team of experts in sometimes ambiguous and often new territories whilst being able to recognise sound internal advice.
