About the Business Line Building Engineering
We deliver creative solutions for building projects for industry, government, commercial and leisure sectors. Our building engineering specialists have expertise in structural and building services engineering, fire engineering, acoustics, facades and seismic design. We embed sustainability principles in every design.

Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Mechanical CAD Drafter.

The role of CAD technicians will be specifically to produce 2D documentation for projects from Revit under the direction of the Discipline BIM Lead. CAD Technicians will also be responsible for providing access to 2D extracts from discipline project models for use by design and BIM team members for collaboration and as part of deliverables packages. CAD Technicians will also be responsible for the maintenance and distribution of project information to other team members, under the direct instruction of the Discipline BIM Lead. .

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
Work with BIM Technicians to understand project BIM setup
Develop accurate 2D drawings from project BIMs, including sheet management tasks, annotations, dimensions, notes, and all visibility settings
Develop and distribute prints and exports for team coordination & final deliverables.

Minimum Requirements
Engineering or Architectural technician certificate or above
Strong experience in the use of AutoCAD.
Experience with Revit, Navisworks or other BIM softwares a plus
High attention to detail in tasks performed
Minimum 5 years of direct, discipline-specific project delivery experience
Middle East project delivery preferred
Preferred Qualifications
Solid technical background in the production of discipline-specific 2D design documents
Comfortable communicating on an informal basis with team members
Able to deal with stressful situations, such as project deadlines, resistance to change & other types of difficult situations
Enjoys working in a multi-cultural environment
