Schneider Electric has a great opportunity for the right person to join our team as a BMS Engineering Manager.

Your Mission:

This is a dual role accountable for winning large and critical BMS projects & managing a World Class Engineering Team from developing and submitting tenders to working with our Project Managers to ensure they are provided with an effective and efficient Engineering team and associated solutions. Both elements include detailed scopes, value engineering solutions, technical solutions, compliance with customer requirements, and compliance with internal process. Production of customer proposals, incorporating necessary pricing, scope clarification, qualifications & exclusions in partnership with other opportunity leader and tender manager. Development and Growth of the Engineering teams, deploying standards and best practice associated with all Project Design and Engineering documentation and Software through to final Operating and Maintenance Manuals. Control and direction of post order design to installation, commissioning phase of a project attaining optimum profitability through design changes.

Your responsibilities:

1. Ensure that within the preparation and submittal of customer proposals, these are estimated accurately and consistently, incorporating compliance to customer specifications/documents, validation of our technical solution and value engineering offer.
2. Maintain excellence in our tendering preparation & submittal, ensuring we achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction (internal & external) resulting in business growth in our targeted areas.
3. Working with the Tender Manager in the overall tendering process from S1 to P0 Gates, co-ordination of all IG & OG elements to ensure all risks are identified and mitigation plans established in line with companies polices & procedures.
4. Maintain a high degree of collaboration and teamwork with the Solutions Centre Tendering team on multi business opportunities to maximise opportunity levels for all aspects of the UK business.
5. Study and understand the conditions under which an order is placed and in any cases of conflict, advise, document and escalate for resolution.
6. Ensure documentation relating to the project is properly and promptly dealt with in the correct contractual manner. Production and control of RFI's, detailed point schedules, description of operations, network and plant schematics, graphics, control panel drawings, equipment and control valve schedules, production of commissioning documentation and operating and maintenance manuals in line with project programme requirements.
7. Resource planning and Resource Development at key requisites to effective delivery, Client and Employee satisfaction.
8. Technical Solutions Advise, and Post Sales Technical Problem Solving/Guidance.
9. Improve efficiency of the Engineering Solutions through standards, tools, best practice and lessons learned.

About you:

Higher qualification within Engineering Discipline
Certified Tender & Contract Management Professional
Application Engineering experience within the Projects environment of an Application Centre or equivalent
Experience in a commercial bidding & customer facing environment
