Using some of the world’s most sophisticated technologies, our teams create solutions that monitor our oceans, help us better understand climate change and drive scientific progress. We’re also a world-leader in satellite telecommunications. And because we supply the International Space Station, we play a pivotal role in helping mankind explore the universe.

Primary Purpose of Role Responsible for the Data-handling subsystem (RSS DH) and is in charge of all the engineering activities of a given satellite program or instrument. The role technically monitors the flight software specification, development, architecture and validation.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks Tasks include:

Participation in journals and KP
Load analysis / budgets (memory, processor, communication bus).
Preparation and validation of Data-Handling satellite data (BDS)
Detailed definition of ASEQ transition mode and FDIR
Detailed definition of FMON / PMON FDIR
Drafting / maintenance of the development plan DH and the VCD
Writing / maintaining test plans and test requests for functional validation on the Avionics Bench and AIT satellite
Follow-up of the various test phases (VCF and AIT), treatment of nonconformities and evaluation of test reports
Participated in the development of the FOM and the validation of operational procedures (SOH).
Participation in satellite mapping (LEOP).Control / edge control (PUS, IF edge / ground, TM definition, TC and TM budget)
Support for the operational concept (Phases, Modes)
Failure Detection, Isolation and Recovery (FDIR) and autonomy: these functions, although involving aspects of a system level, are essentially provided by DH mechanisms,
Equipment: avionics architecture, calculator, interface equipment, digital data bus
