About the Business Line Building Engineering
We deliver creative solutions for building projects for industry, government, commercial and leisure sectors. Our building engineering specialists have expertise in structural and building services engineering, fire engineering, acoustics, facades and seismic design. We embed sustainability principles in every design.

Job Summary
AECOM are currently recruiting for an MEP Surveying Engineer with experience in Building Services surveying to join our Asset Management division based in Basingstoke.

The successful Engineer will be a key component in a multi-disciplinary division whose services consist of Building Surveying, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, CAD, Structural Engineering, and Project Management. You will be delivering MEP surveys on programmes of surveys for our key clients.

As an MEP surveying Engineer you will be able to survey and comment on condition / anticipated life span / need for replacement of all mechanical and electrical plant. You will be able to review and comment on all manner of mecahnical and electrical related systems such as; lighting (internal, external, street and emergency), power (generation, HV/LV distribution, small power layouts and schedules), fire alarms, communication systems, lightning protection, boilers, pumps, calorifiers, CHPs and written specifications.

Minimum Requirements
The successful MEP Surveying Engineer will be a professional, ambitious, competent engineer and looking for a long-term challenging role. In return you can expect an opportunity within a solid and established team who have a track record in providing an excellent service to our clients.

Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate would be/have:

• Extensive experience working with MEP systems
• Professional manor, experience working in a professional office
• Experience presenting to client teams
• Experience reporting writing / reviewing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in order for our team to continue providing an excellent service to our clients

Preferably experience in undertaking condition surveys using ipads
