Program Manager - Demand Planning

As Program Manager- Demand Planning, you will be responsible for leading the AMZL-UK volume forecasting and demand planning, function, optimizing across different transportation modes for Last Mile Capacity Planning. You will also act a single point contact for UK Transportation, Network Planning, Retail and Supply Chain on network decisions, pertaining to topology planning, rolling out new programs and tools and monitoring ongoing success.

· Management of operations supply chain analysis/ financial analysis, business process analytics, and systems within a fast paced metrics driven environment
· Leadership of a team of Business Analysts and Volume Management specialists (team of 5)
· Coordinate with Tech Teams to build tools on forecasting and Volume Planning.
· Management of daily us of SQL and other business analytical tools
· Proactively gather data from appropriate sources, to consider all facts and other perspectives.
· Conduct daily root cause analysis, taking into consideration long term business objectives plans and goals, whilst ensuring prioritisation of key factors.
· Escalate, articulate and overcome operational and technical obstacles to ensure continued business success.
· Produce regular reports and analysis, write systems queries to gather performance data, and perform data-mining and analysis using reporting tools to identify trends and improve forecast accuracies, as well as identify opportunities for cost savings


· Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent
· Previous experience in leading business analytics, network planning or volume forecasting teams
· Experience in SQL is essential
· Significant experience in operations supply chain analysis/ financial analysis, business process analytics
· In-depth knowledge of planning and analysis tools; solution driven approach to system and process; advanced computer literacy (MS Excel, MS Access/other Database)
· Ability to work to tight time frames and deadlines and ensure that all parties are providing key information on time for effective reporting of KPI’s and metrics.
· Strong tactical level operator; thrive on analytics and detailed investigation; able to coordinate workload.
· The ideal candidate will take an analytical approach to problem solving, and have a proven track record in volume forecasting , building and executing strategic network topology decisions and tools; for Last Mile Capacity Planning

· Expertise defining complex SQL queries
· MBA, MS or MA (Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Mathematics or Equivalent
· Experience within the Transport, Distribution or Logistics industry would be highly desirable
· Highly proficient in the use of Excel, SQL and other business analytical tools
· Ability to think and influence both quantitatively and qualitatively
· Knowledge on Essbase, Cognos and PHP; would be beneficial
