These areas build brand through mass advertising as well as providing creative services for Amazon retail teams, delivering campaigns of applied photography, videos, marketing assets, widgets and user experiences. The right candidate will possess a unique drive, with an ambition to excel in the delivery of digital archiving, quality control and logistical services catering for a variety of creative teams, with a view to furthering their individual experience, whilst providing the highest level of service to all stakeholders. As one of a team of Ingest Operators, you will be working as part of the D1 video team, ensuring encoded content is quality controlled promptly and correctly.

The role ensures that all Digital content created & distributed is delivered to the highest possible standards and is in line with the specification that the client requires.

Roles and Responsibilities

You will be responsible for ensuring that the daily work orders allocated to you by a supervisor are uninterrupted and run smoothly in line with company SLAs, whilst all operational procedures and workflows are followed.

You may be asked to attend incident review meetings, assist with training and the roll out of new workflows.

It will be expected that the successful candidate will have a good understanding of the On Demand Industry/process and new technologies used within this ever-changing environment.

· A good technical knowledge of Video and Audio codecs, standards, formats, terminology and transcoding systems in general.
· Ability to understand, identify and resolve problems with a file based workflow system.
· Awareness of Archiving and File movement process around transcoding - important.
· In-depth understanding of Transcoding system and other software’s involved in all transcoding processes. i.e. Avid Interplay, S3, Glacier, Elemental, and Folder structure etc.
· Knowledge of Broadcast rules, and quality controls.
· Highly responsible and self-motivated, able to thrive in an energetic, fast paced entrepreneurial environment.
· Production/Post Production/photographic workflow experience (1 year minimum)
· 5 point grade scale, QC experience (1 year minimum)
· Experience with metadata creation, delivery and applied standards (DPP, EIDR)
· Experience with cataloguing and building taxonomies/database construction
· Ability to collaborate and communicate with diverse stakeholders (Creative, Product Management, Production, Post Production, Marketing, Legal, Site Merchandising, PR and Sales)

· Ability to understand and navigate various folder structures and file management systems.
· Previous use and understanding of a ‘Job Management’ workflow system with the ability to identify workloads, what needs to be done, independently of being instructed i.e. Understanding SLA’s and the impact of High Priority workflows.
· Good communication skills with an understanding of an escalation process as well maintaining accountability.
· Escalating issues to the appropriate channels – i.e System Engineering, IT or post producers.
· Production/Post Production/photographic workflow experience (1 year minimum)
· Multiple removable media ingest (P2/Rugged/Lacie/USB) and associated logistics
· Good organisational and planning experience in a broadcast/post production environment
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (the former is not necessary if the latter can be proven)
