Job Summary AECOM is providing general engineering consultancy services for Ahmedabad Metro Rail project. With this win, AECOM becomes the only consultant to be associated with all the metro projects in the six Indian cities of Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Nagpur and Ahmedabad.
AECOM will be working on design review, technical specifications, system integration, procurement, construction supervision, project management, tender and award of contracts, contract administration, station and depot architecture, civil and interface management and testing and commissioning for Phase I.

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Chief of Construction Planning, Programme and Progress Monitoring Expert, to be responsible for:

preparation of Proficient Master Schedules using Project Management Software. Reviewing the construction sequenong and commissioning elements with respect to the key dates required for each element of works, particularly if further approval for construction phases is required from govt. authorities. Liaison with client, Government authorities regarding programming of the construction & commissioning works. Monitors changes in construction phases and sequencing and produces regular program updates for the client. Checking that any changes are accounted for new program revisions including the commissioning phase at the completion of the construction phase. The responsibility includes:
Review Detailed Project Report (DPR) / Concept Report,
Preparing, implementing and monitoring the implementation schedule, ensuring that the project is delivered within time, budget etc.

Estimating costs relative to the master implementation schedule and producing financial reports
Monitoring all contract works in progress and identifying any schedule or coordination problems, taking effective mitigation measures
Liaising with various local authorities, government departments and other project stakeholders for resolution of project-related issues

Minimum Requirements
Civil Engineering degree.
Total 20 years’ experience, out of which minimum 7 years should be experience in rail/metro sector in a similar or higher capacity.
Experience in planning software e.g. Primavera.
Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications Overseas experience of Similar Metro Project would be preferred
