Video is at the heart of our content strategy and so we are looking to recruit a seasoned editor with a passion for creating engaging video content for our customers.
· Amazon D1 is seeking to fill a permanent position as Avid Editor with excellent creative video and audio storytelling skills for the production of original content.
· The Avid / Premiere Editor will be responsible for creating high-end short form assembly edits across all programming both independently and in conjunction with a producer, but will also be expected to add creativity and ideas to any projects. The successful candidate will have to work at speed to meet tight deadlines while maintaining the high quality programming required.
· The Successful candidate will be expected to play a key part in creating video content for the platform throughout the creative process from beginning to end.
· The role will encompass all areas of editing/post production within an Avid Interplay environment including FX, voice-over, music/audio mixing, still / motion graphics and colour correction.
· The right candidate will possess a unique drive, with an ambition to excel in the delivery of content within a non liner post production environment, catering for a variety of creative teams, whilst providing the highest level of service to all stakeholders. Responsibilities
· Generating excellent, high-end offline and online edits across all production strands including long and short form edits
· Maintaining the required high standard in both vision and audio as well as the use of graphics
· Ensure that all edits are consistent with the company brand guidelines.
· Ensure broadcast compliance for both Audio and Vision.
· Provide a deliverables to spec and delivery deadlines.
· Help to train junior staff and continue the expansion and high standard of operational procedure.
· Maintain folder structure complete housekeeping procedures and support best practises.
· Ensure the highest quality of deliverable with regards toady, video, colour grading and motion graphics.
· Keep to delivery deadlines outlined by post producers and business partners.
· Report in to Post producers any variables, potential issues or circumstances which may affect the delivery deadline.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
• Proven experience in non-linear editing with Avid and Premiere
• Demonstrated editorial judgment and broadcast experience a plus
• Expert user knowledge of Adobe after effects preferred.
• Creative, enthusiastic, solution oriented, team player
• Must be proficient in the following software programs: Avid Media composer, Symphony, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop and After Effects.
• Experience using DAM / MAM systems
• Edit share / ISIS / Avid interplay experience essential.
• In depth knowledge of video codecs, file encoding and deliverables.
• Good knowledge of current Broadcast standards
• Comfortable and calm under pressure in a fast paced post production environment.
• Relevant technical broadcast operations understanding, to include reading of waveform monitors, vectorscopes and audio ppms.
