Community Manager, Amazon Game Studios, Germany

London, United Kingdom

Amazon is all in on games. 2016 was a year of firsts for gaming at Amazon. In February, we released Lumberyard, a free, cloud connected game engine. At TwitchCon 2016 we revealed some of our new projects to the world, including three new games: Breakaway, New World and Crucible. 2017 will be another year of growth for us: what milestones will you be a part of?

We believe the evolution that began with arcade communities, growing to the live streams and esports of today, will continue to a future where everyone is a gamer and every gamer can create, compete, collaborate and connect with others at massive scales. If you share our belief that games will produce some of the future’s most influential voices in media and art, come join us. At Amazon, you’ll have the power of, Twitch, Curse and our digital and physical media publishing infrastructure available as raw material to forge a future filled with amazing experiences for players, broadcasters and creators.
Amazon Game Studios Europe is seeking talented Community and Esports Managers for our London office, to lead the community teams of each of our regions. Separate Community Manager positions are available for Germany, France, UK, and one combined for Italy & Spain. As part of the European community team, you will participate in building and executing our European community and esports strategic plans to support the launch of AGS games in your assigned country. You’ll level up the definition of delivering great engagement and exceptional player experiences to our gamers, customized to regional needs.

As Community & Esports Manager you will need to be a creative and analytical thinker with deep experience and proven achievements building an authentic and meaningful relationship between a game company and its player community. You’ll build strong relationship with a network of community members that are helping gaming grow, hell bent to support them. You will create and execute comprehensive plans, lead by example, and make everyone around you better.
Starting as an individual contributor, the Community & Esports Manager will later on be responsible for building the community team for assigned European country or countries, with team members assigned to each AGS game as they launch and grow in popularity. From then on you will be coaching your team in thinking really big and creatively on how to deliver exceptional player experiences, uniquely tailored for each local community.
