Amazon is looking for a Senior Finance Leader to drive our Pan EU Softlines Private Brands (SPB). In this role you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the SPB with business leaders to deliver on the business plan of rapid growth, revenue and profitability in one of the fasted growing businesses and categories. Working closely with US Softlines Private Brand’s team, initiating new financial processes leveraging and scaling process, analysis, reports and benchmarking. The position is based out of London and the role will report into Financial Director EU Softlines with day to day working with the VP and Directors of SPB.

Your tasks and responsibilities:
- You co-own the financial success of SPB across Europe with strong focus on our growth. You have the freedom and opportunity to consult, challenge and influence business decisions and drive our long term free cash flow.
- You are on top of discussions with our business leaders about the strategy in SPB, support development and delivering on the business plan and challenging the business (leaders) Building robust scalable plans for the business growth.
- You work with the business teams to drive value by define actions based on facts and performance, identifying problems arising in a new and unique business and working together to find solutions including leveraging US SPB and long established Amazon (finance) teams.
- You are responsible for running and continuously improving the core finance processes like Month-end the planning processes, aligning with standard Amazon process where possible or define new ones when necessary.
- You help set-up, coordinate and managing (new) product lines with weekly and monthly Key Performance Indicators and performance review cycles (WBR, MBR, QBR).

Qualifications:
Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience
At least 10 years of experience in financial analysis, controlling or consulting, ideally in retail wholesale or FMCG industry
- Extensive experience supporting senior business leaders form a finance perspective, ability to challenge business directions and able to translate facts and numbers in concrete actions
- Experience in new organizations / startups and the ambiguity that can be experienced as well as experience getting results through others
- Extensive experience with driving financial conclusions, strong analytical and problem solving skills as well as ability to coordinate finance operational activities

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in working within a matrix organization
- Proficiency in SQL, Cognos and Access would be of advantage, but not essential
- Fluent in English and while fluency in another EU language is highly valued but it is not a requirement
- Experience in project management and process optimization

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
