Job Summary
AECOM has been appointed to deliver Shell Retail’s Capital Development Programme in Benelux (Netherlands) for a period of 5 years. During this period AECOM will provide Engineering Procurement and Construction Services to Shell in an end to end delivery process with a focus on safety and operational excellence. AECOM is currently building a dedicated team with experts for this programme
As Project Manager you will become part of a growing AECOM Benelux team with offices in The Netherlands (The Hague) and Belgium (Leuven and Ghent).
This position requires significant travel and will split your time between working on the client sites, AECOM office and from home.

The Project Manager is a member of the Project Delivery Team reporting to the Operations Manager.

As PM you will be responsible for the operational delivery of all Build Projects, Build Programmes, and Dealer Projects. Project Managers will deliver end to end project services within programme deadlines within a set of clear performance indicators. HSSE is the most important of the KPI’s and the project manager must show a strong track record in operational delivery of HSSE processes and communication.

This role will require significant interaction with the Client Team to maintain seamless communications and client confidence on all project delivery progress.

The programme of work is fast moving and extremely demanding; this role will require strong management and leadership skills to motivate contractors and colleagues and provide excellence in execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage the delivery of client and AECOM HSSE requirements

Manage the delivery of projects to the programme

Manage the delivery of projects within agreed budgets

Where appropriate, deliver savings on build projects and Programmes

Manage the delivery of dealer projects and programmes to approved time and cost

Typical generic task schedule to achieve the above:
Attend regular safety meetings, ensure messages conveyed to the operational staff and contractors, manage the safety messages into the projects and audit to give confidence that the safety is being implemented in accordance with client and AECOM HSSE processes and procedures.

Minimum Requirements Experience requirements
Proven 5+ years experience in an operational role
Fluent English and Dutch language skills are required. Stong knowledge of French is considered an asset.

Confident and capable individual with strong client focus

Recognized construction or design qualification (or similar experience)

Experienced in managing a diverse operational team

Strong track record in delivering projects in a fast moving and challenging environment

Ability to work under pressure and to tight dead-lines

Good grasp of IT, particularly Excel and Word

Full Driving Licence

Qualifications:
Engineering Degree or equivalent experience
Management qualification
Petrochem knowledge/experience

Preferred Qualifications
French language skills are considered an asset.
