Associate Director - Rail Architecture

We provide cost and project management services, and specialist consultancy services, to public- and private-sector clients around the world, with a strong presence in Africa, Australia and New Zealand, Europe, the Middle East and the United States.

We are currently looking for an Associate Director (Rail Architecture) to join and lead our growing rail architecture team based in St Albans working on new UK & International transit projects.

Duties and responsibilities:
• Working across all RIBA Stages including bidding, concept design, project delivery, design assurance and working with clients, contractors and other architectural practices
• Provide and supervise technological and technical input within the Architectural team
• Supervise the architectural team in preparing robust and exemplar project information
• Carry assignments to completion with considerable independence in accordance with project objectives, professional standards, policies and procedures

• Ambitious and enthusiastic with a good understanding of the design & delivery structure and process and have a keen interest and experience in the transport sector
• Knowledge of international and best practice standards and the design management tools employed in the design of large scale rail projects
• Good understanding of BIM and other digital design tools
• Familiar with researching, preparing and presenting technical presentations and reports
• Ability to express ideas effectively, both orally and in writing
• ARB registration

• Preference for candidates with AECOSim experience
• Preference for RIBA registration
• Experience of working on large scale rail projects, preferably including site experience
