Schneider Electric has a great opportunity for the right person to join our well-established team as a Contracts Administrator / Trainee Quantity Surveyor.

Your Mission:
In this role you will be responsible for maximising margin, minimising risk & debt and increasing revenues whilst ensuring we deliver to the highest standard to improve our Customer Satisfaction. Working for our Project Execution Centre in the South of the United Kingdom, you will join a team that looks after automation and control within the building’s market, but will also have exposure the wider range of Schneider Electric product offering. We provide state of the art building solutions for residential, commercial and industrial end users which includes BMS, SMART building control and Power Solutions (power quality, metering and software). You will be taking responsibility for ensuring compliance with Company policies and procedures (particularly in respect of contract terms and conditions and general risk management). You will also be looking after financial administration and financial reporting works. You will join a team of 25 people across the UK working closely with the Contract Manager and reporting to our Contract’s Director.

About you:
This role would suit a fresh graduate with either Contract Management /Quantity Surveying degree or has an interest in the Energy or Building Management Industry and has some other form of qualification, for example an Economics, legal or or Finance degree.
Relevant experience in quantity surveying; knowledge of commercial procedures and standard contract conditions within the construction industry would be advantageous.
Financial Understanding - cost management and debt recovery.
Ability to read and understand contracts.
Computer literate
Excellent communication skills
Flexible and self-motivated
Analytical with ability to identify problems and propose effective solutions
